Privacy and data
This page explains what SEO-AI keeps, for how long, and how to have a workspace or your data deleted.
The legal wording is in the Product privacy policy. If this page and the policy differ, the policy is the one that applies.
What is kept
- Your workspace. Projects, articles and every saved version, voices and the writing samples behind them, your Experience items and photos, authors, source documents, connections, and your credit history.
- Your connections. The WordPress Application Password is stored encrypted. Google Search Console and Microsoft Bing tokens are also stored. When you disconnect one, the stored password or token is deleted.
- Billing. The site's checkout takes your card details through its payment processor. SEO-AI never sees your card. We keep your plan status, checkout session numbers and your credit history.
- Free tool runs. What you entered, the result, and a one-way scrambled form of your internet address (not the address itself).
- A log of billing and security events. It includes internet addresses.
How long it is kept
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Research results and copied competitor page text | 30 days |
| Finished background jobs | 14 days |
| Article API request log and delivered events | 90 days |
| Free tool runs | 90 days |
| Checkout session numbers | While the workspace exists |
| Usage and cost records | 24 months |
| Billing and security log | 7 years, because of tax record rules |
| Your workspace and everything in it | Until the owner deletes the workspace |
Items with a time limit are removed automatically by a scheduled clean-up.
This schedule is a draft that the site owner is still having reviewed. Check the Product privacy policy for the version in force.
Delete a workspace
Only the workspace owner can delete a workspace. Deleting is final. Everything in the workspace is deleted at once, and we cannot recover it.
- Download what you need first. Use the Export tab on each article. See Writing an article.
- Cancel your subscription first. The app refuses to delete a workspace while a subscription is active and says: "Cancel your subscription in Billing before deleting this workspace." See Refunds and cancellation.
- Delete the workspace. If you cannot find the delete option, contact us using the details in the Product privacy policy and say that you are the owner.
Deleting the workspace removes the articles, versions, voices, samples, Experience items, photos, connections and credit history in it.
Some records are kept after deletion because the law requires it. These are the billing and security log (up to 7 years) and de-identified billing records. The site's payment processor keeps its own records under its own terms.
Ask for access, correction or erasure
You can ask to see your data, have it corrected, have it erased, receive it in a portable form, or object to some uses of it.
- Contact us using the details in the Product privacy policy.
- Use the email address on your member account, so we can match the request to you.
- Say what you want: access, correction or erasure.
A site administrator can erase a member. The erase tool removes the workspaces that member alone owns, and their personal data. It keeps de-identified billing records that the law requires.
If you are not happy with how we handle a request, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Australia, that is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Your articles and AI
Articles are written for you with large language models, run through the website's AI service. The AI content policy explains how the writing engine works and what you must check before you publish. See also Sources and fact checking.
